SN35.23 — Sabbasutta - The All

Originating in Sāvatthī.

Disciples, I will teach you about the all. Listen to this. And what, disciples, is the all? The eye and forms, the ear and sounds, the nose and smells, the tongue and tastes, the body and touch, the mind and mental phenomena, this is called the all.

If anyone, disciples, should say, Having rejected this all, I will make known another all, that would be mere words for them. And if questioned, they would find no answer and would face frustration. And why is that? Because, disciples, it is beyond their domain.
